Business Accelerator coming to Sheridan College

The Sheridan Press article of Wed, Oct. 24, about a big new donation Whitney Benefits made to Sheridan College, had an intriguing paragraph about how one of the new buildings planned at Sheridan College would house a “business incubator.” 

We asked SC’s President, Kevin Drumm, to tell us more about these plans.  He responded:  “We’re creating a ‘Business Accelerator’ and not a traditional incubator . . . We will provide ongoing strategic support, ala an incubator, for start-ups and existing small businesses but without their own semi-permanent bricks and mortar on campus.”

Kevin added that the new Assistant Vice President who will oversee the business accelerator program, Cindi Thiede, starts at the College November 5th.  We’ll try to follow up with her and get more information once she gets her feet on the ground.
