Sheridan Area Innovative Entrepreneurs Forum Invitation

Just passing along this invitation to an event co-sponsored by the Wyoming Business Council&the University of Wyoming Office of Research & Economic Development .

You should know that -

· Over the past ten years, nine knowledge-based Sheridan area small businesses have received more than $7.5 million in federal R&D grants to develop their innovative product concepts - an average of more than $800,000 per business.

· Over the past eight years, the state of Wyoming has provided nearly $200,000 to 15 Sheridan area small businesses to enable them to enter the national competition for these federal R&D grants – an average of more than $10,000 per business

· These sources of funding are available to virtually all for-profit Wyoming-based small businesses and sole proprietorships.

You are invited to meet and hear the success stories of some of these Sheridan area entrepreneurs and to learn more about how you too can compete for these federal R&D funds – more than $2.2 billion nationwide in 2007.
